1 2024-03-05 2 3 AAHHHH Too many Changes! 4 5 I can hardly remember what changes I've made! 6 7 I'll just make a list with some of the bigger changes: 8 9 10 (1) Personal Git at git.wrpr.us ‐ Doing git things with 11 git 12 13 14 (2) A SearXng Instance at searx.wrpr.us ‐ My favorite 15 search engine 16 17 18 (3) No more users, making wrpr.us more personal 19 20 21 (4) Pinebook Adventures (Armbian img available at wrpr 22 git) ‐ more form this to come! 23 24 25 (5) Also working on a netcat based text wall 26 27 28 (6) And much more! 29 30 31 As for the more personal thing - I've decided to 32 take wrpr.us in a more personal direction. My reason- 33 ing behind the switch was time, ease of use and fo- 34 cusing on what I actually use. Especially after I 35 dropped my VPS with Vultr and Linear.codes, I might 36 re-purpose linear or something later. As for some of 37 the services hosted here the only big change is shell 38 access will be more restricted and git is locked for 39 personal use for now. 40 41 Gopher? HTTP? 42 43 In my search of simplicity and minimalism; I am 44 torn between the ease of access of a static site gen- 45 erator and HTTP. Just one, one thousand pound gorilla 46 in the room -- I HATE MARKUP LANGUAGES. I feel like a 47 need a paragraph to print a good looking, well for- 48 matted sentence! I might make a super simple HTTP 49 static site generator to mimic the syntax Gopher or 50 Gemini uses, maybe make some sort of conversion tool 51 to mirror the Gopher site. 52 53 It's been about a week since I wrote the last 54 paragraph; I'm now testing out Phroxy and Pygopherd. 55 I like the idea of hosting a Gopher proxy, since 56 Phroxy has been archived I might start maintaining a 57 fork if I use it. As for Pygopherd, currently Geomyi- 58 dae has been great, I just like the web interface 59 that Pygopherd provides. You can find an example over 60 at quux.org. 61 62 PineBook Stuff 63 64 Do you have an original PineBook? Is Armbian no 65 longer working for you? Or do you just want a differ- 66 ent Debian distro to try out on your PineBook? Head 67 on over to git.wrpr.us today and clone my Armbian Im- 68 age! 69 70 I might make it another server or some interface 71 thing for my Pis, I just want to actually use my 72 Pinebook for something other than small projects and 73 OS tinkering. Virtual machines are more useful for 74 tinkering anyways. I might make a recurring series 75 of PineBook projects, we'll see. 76 77 78 Wrapping up 79 80 It's been way too long since the last update, I 81 would like to log changes as they come, so I'll end 82 this update here and publish more as I work on things 83 coming up! 84
